CSI, case 12!

A ver si completamos el texto para el post del caso 12 que había dejado en suspenso sólo con las fotos…
Let´s see if I can complete this post with the text for case 12 that I left under construction with just the photos…

De la evidencia utilicé el globo aerostático, las nubes, y estrellas.
Del testimonio usé la frase GET CARRIED AWAY (Dejarse llevar)
From the evidence I used the hot-air baloon, clouds and starts.
From the testimony I chose GET CARRIED AWAY.

Fue el primer caso monocromático de CSI lo cual fue realmente interesante y original, no es algo que uno suele elegir a la hora de armar una página de scrap, lo cual es el objetivo principal de CSI… hacernos experimentar con cosas/colores/inspiraciones que naturalmente no utilizaríamos.
It was the first monochromatic palette at CSI which made the case very interesting and original. It´s not something we would naturally choose which is the whole point of CSI… having us experiment with new colors, inspirations, elements that we would otherwise not use.
Empecé por elegir una página monocromática pero con diseño y le agregué un poco de luz con manchas de GESSO.
I started off with a patterned paper, to which I added more texture and light with GESSO.

Utilicé imágenes de mi primer vuelo en parapente, en córdoba, allá por 2005!
I used photos of my first paragliding flight, in Cordoba, back in 2005!
La imagen principal (más grande) fue cuando ya estaba en el aire y se ve todo el paisaje cordobés de fondo. Completé la historia con fotos de los preparativos previos a saltar, que imprimí en más chiquito y acomodé al costado de la imagen principal.
The main photograph (bigger one) was when I was already in the air and with all the outstanding view of Cordobas mountains in the background. I competed the story with smaller photos of the moments prior to jumping off, which I placed one below the other on the left hand of the main photograph.
Todas las fotos las traté en Picassa primero para pasarlas a blanco y negro primero y después darles un tono verde-turquesa para que queden más al tono con la paleta del caso.
I used Picassa preset effects to turn the photos to black and white first and then to tint them a bit to match the greenish colors of the palette.

La foto del momento en que empezamos la carrera para despegar es la que mejor refleja la frase “Get carried away” (dejarse llevar) así que la dejé para la parte de abajo de la página y la corté en tiritas que separé cada vez más como para dar más la sensación de soltarse, dejarse llevar, entregarse a la aventura…
The photo of the moment we started the race to take off is the one that best represent the idea of GET CARRIED AWAY, so I used it at the bottom of the page and cut it out and separated the pieces in a way that helps build the idea of that message, to let go, get carried away and enjoy the adventure…

No hacía falta mucho texto… las fotos hablaban por sí solas y contaban muy bien la historia…
I used minimal journaling as the photos told the whole story pretty well…
Usé unos ganchitos mariposa de estralla (al tono) y recorté nubes de los papeles que imprimí de los “CSI coordinate” que descargué del sitio, y listo! mi caso estaba resuelto
I used a few star brads and cut out clouds from the papers I printed from CSI coordinates and that´s it! my case was solved
