CSI case 16: SWEET THINGS

A very quick post to be able to upload this post on CSI before deadline is due.

Here´s how I solved this case:

Pero el sol se abre!!

But the sun flips open!!

Este fue el caso:

This was the case:

From the evidence I used shiny and sparkling things, and stacking elements. From the testimony I used the I.W. SWEET and a song name as tilte. I chose "SWEET DREAMS are made of this"... it starts on the sun and it continues with the rest of the lyrics inside, including "who am I to dissagree". This reflects what I feel about our perfect vacation and the pictures are from our last vacations, which involved Disneyworld followed by a magnificent cruise on the caribbean... isn´t that a Sweet dream!?

As the papers I used for the sun are those very special ones I never use not to waste them (??) I didn´t want to literary waste any little piece of it, so I used the leftovers after tearing the borders of the parts used in the sun to create this decorative edge that at the same time was part of the other evidence I used, stacked elements.

More torn little leftovers used to embelished the also torn pictures.

Little pieces of torn paper (pink and gold) are pasted to cover the back side of the sun rays, so that it would look nicer when opening it.

What else... penwork to highlight details, doodling and journalling. Some sprinkled pink paint, some jewels and that´s it!

As you must have seen, I used a lot of TEARING, as I used this technique to put this page together to show different aspects of the technique in the seminar I´m teaching (both, here in Trevelin and online from this link: http://www.tecnicasdescrapbooking.blogspot.com).
