Arrancando la semana a ful, ya desde Buenos Aires! ultimando detalles de mi participación en la 14ta convención de la Fundación de Pintura Decorativa Argentina, tanto como expositora como profe de dos "Hágalo y llévelo" de scrap :)
Good morning!
Starting the week really up, already in Buenos Aires! arranging last minute details of my participation in the 14th convention organized by tthe Fundación de Pintura Decorativa Argentina, both submiting artwork for exhibition and teaching a couple of scrapbooking workshops :)

En este post les voy a compartir uno de los dos trabajos que voy a estar exponiendo en la convención. Está dento de la categoría de LAYOUT ROMÁNTICO, y la única consigna era esa... que caiga naturalmente en esta categoría... así que me inspiré, tomé una foto que había sacado hace algunos años atrás mi amigo, concuñado y afamado fotógrafo Esperancino, Adrián Venturini :) en una de las sesiones de mis nenas y en torno a ella creé la siguiente página:
In this post I´m going to share with you one of the two layouts I´m submitting for exhibition at this convention. This one is for the category "ROMANTIC LAYOUT" and that was actually the only thing to consider at the time of creating so I took a photo I had from my younger girl, taken a few years ago by my friend and already famous photographer Adrian Venturini :) during one of my girls photoshoots, and then I built everything around it to create this LO:
It´s really hard to show in a photo each of the so many little details that are going on in this page, as all the love put into it cannot be really portraid unless you see it in person... so if you are nearby, do show up at the Convention :)... and for those of you who are farther away, here are a few closeups...
Esquina inferior derecha... usé un segundo papel idéntico al que usé de base para recortar alguna de sus flores y darle relieve usando la técnica de Sospeso Transparente que vamos a estar presentanto en la convención de la mano de María Marta Tissi y Adriana Fiore... consiste la aplicación de una capa de resina termomoldeable a cualquier papel, tela o servilleta, y trabajando con bolillo se levantan las zonas a resaltar para que cualquier imagen cobre vida... es muy interesante y le estamos encontrando muchas aplicaciones al scrapbooking que queremos compartir durante la convención también...
Agregué además de las rosas rojas trabajadas en sospeso, algunas rositas rococó de esas que me encanta hacer y agrego en casi todos mis LOs :) y en algunas apliqué una perlita como centro.
Lower right corner... I used a second sheet of paper, exactly the same as I used as background, and trimmed a few of the flowers from it so as to work on them with the technique "sospeso transparente" that Maria Marta Tissi and Adriana Fiore are going to be introducing at the convention... It consists of the application of a resine layer that can be molded to create some three-dimentional details that are so interesting when applied to scrapbooking... not a technique that was meant for this but I kind of stole it and now we are showing it to the scrapbooking world :p
Of course I HAD to add a few of my little handmade little rolled roses that I can´t help but adding to most of my LOs... I just love those! and added a little perl as center in some of them.
Esquina superior derecha... cómo quisiera que la foto mostrara mejor los detalles... casi no se puede ver la cinta de organza cremita... pero la fuí pegando al LO dándole formita y enrollándola en partes... La usé a modo de marco para la foto... en la esquina agregué unas rositas turquesa de cinta también que recorté de la cinta que usé en la parte inferior izquierda. Agregué algunas piedritas de corazon rojas para reforzar la onda romántica...
Top right corner... I really wish the photo could show the details better... not sure if you can see the pale cream organza ribbon... I pasted it rolling it and playing around with it till I got it the way I really wanted, acting as frame to the photo... I used a few ribbon roses in the corner that I trimmed for the leftover roses ribbon I used in the lower part of the LO.
La foto que sigue corresponde a la parte a la que más tiempo y amor le dediqué..Next photo is for the part that I put most time and love into...
Edité la foto con uno de los filtros predeterminados de picassa para transformarlo a dibujo y, tras imprimirlo, le di un toque de color con tizas y resalté las líneas con marcador negro para agregarle un poquito de dramatismo... reemplacé la pollerita de la foto por una que realicé con conitos de papel doble faz al tono que los armé habiendo previamente pegado dos cintas de tul y organza de manera tal que me quedaran como saliendo de su interio... rositas rosadas en la cintura... calé la parte de las manitos y le pasé un ramito de rositas por detrás para que parezca como si las estuviera en las manos.. Sticker de collarcito con llave en el el cuello, que quedó en la plancha tras utilizar la figura de maniquí con alas que usé también en esta página y que me encantó rescatar.. tul fruncido para resaltar su espalda a la que agregué alitas... marco que integra todo esto realizado con el mismo papel que usé en la falda, más puntilla tejida blanca y un simil puntilla de sticker...
El contorno de la foto lo resalté agregándole un matting (pegándola sobre otro papel y recortando dejando un margen) que intenta funcionar como una suerte de aura a su alrededor...
Debajo de esta foto armé una base con cinta de rositas, enganchada al vuelo de tul fruncido y a la puntilla blanca mediante el uso de pin de perlitas blancas...I edited the very same photo I used as main picture of this LO with one of Picassa preset filters to turn it into a drawing. After printing it, I colored it lightly with chalks and then did some black penwork to highlight important lines in the drawing (hair, eyes...). I replaced the skirt with one I made with little cones of doublesided paper, with some ribbons comming out from them, little pink roses as a delicate belt, then I trimmed open a little slot between her hands to add those little roses as if she were actually holding them... Added a little necklace from one of the innies that was leftover of the dazzle I used next to the title. Then matted the top part of the photo to create a sort of aura, added the tull in her back and a pair of wings on top... added all this to a frame I created using the leftover paper from the skirt, some white threaded ribbon, and some ribbon dazzles...
Below this part of the LO, I used a roses ribbon that is literally pinned to a piece of tulle and white lace. The pin adds a few white perls that work really well with the composition.
Another one so that you can see a few more details, hopefully :)

The title is SPREAD YOUR WINGS and the text I incorporated in this LO has to do with the angel our little girl has in her, and how special she is to us...
El texto está oculto en una tarjeta que se desliza por detrás del fondo rasgado en donde pegué el título. para sacarlo hay que simplemente tirar de las cintitas que sobresalen. Dice lo siguiente:
The hidden journaling needs to be pulled up from the ribbons on top part of the LO, and says the following:
Desde que naciste portas
una luz muy especial, una
sensibilidad única, un aura sin igual.
Esa luz nos llena el alma y
tenemos la certeza de que

Sólo aguardamos el día en que
abras tus alas, nuestro
